Theodore Alexander Lehrman, Route No. 7, was born in Leipzig, Saxon, Germany, on November 3, 1865. He attended a school in Leipzig. His first job was in a hardware store. Next he worked in a machine leather-belt factory. His period of service at each place was a year and one-half. In 1882 he came with his parents and sister to this country. He accepted employment in a bakery in Philadelphia. His relatives went to Milwaukee, and he joined them there three years later. After a year the family moved to a farm near Colby, where he followed farm and carpenter work, until he came to this city n 1906. He continued the carpenter work for six years after locating here. Trading his city property for a farm in McMillan, he farmed in that community for six years, then moved to his present place. 
 

Mr. Lehrman was married to Miss Anna Volkmar of Colby, in Colby, December 25, 1898. Two of their four children, all girls, are deceased. The surviving daughters are: Lillian 20 and Selma 18. 
 

He is a stockholder of the Seehafer Cheese Factory in McMillan. Politically, he is Independent. His hobby is raising chickens and hogs.
