Hugo August Ross, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ross, Route 2, Granton, was born in Plymouth, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, and attended the Lutheran and public schools of that city up to 15 years of age, when he became a student of a Sheboygan business college. Following his graduation from this school, he entered the employ of the North Western Line as a clerk in their Sheboygan Freight House, where he remained until his parents moved to their present place of residence in 1916. After spending six years on his father’s farm, he enrolled as a student in the Palmer School of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, from which he was graduated in June 1924. He began the practice of his profession at Dale and Hortonville and made his home in the former city. Next he had an office in this city about two and one-half years. Leaving here, he located in Spencer, about a year ago. 
 

Mrs. Ross, to whom he was married in the Mapleworks Lutheran Church near Granton, August 27, 1922, was Miss Ella Garbisch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Garbisch, Route 3, Granton. The ceremony was performed by the Reverend Martin Hasz. Mr. and Mrs. Ross’ children are: Vernon 5 and Mildred 3. 
 

He is a member of Walter Rasmussen’s orchestra and the organist of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church. Politically, he is a progressive Republican. His hobby is instrumental music. He plays the piano in addition to the organ.
