William Frederick Prust, 129 West Bakerville Street, was born in the town of Fremont, Clark County, January 4, 1896. His mother, Mrs. August Prust, still resides in Fremont. His parents moved into the village of Chili when he was ten. He attended the public schools in Fremont and Chili and a business college in this city. Leaving the last named school at the age of 16, he entered the employ of Gust Heinrich of Nasonville, a barn builder, to learn the carpenter trade and after three years of service for him, he engaged in the building construction work on his own account. He specialized in home building. He continued as a building contractor until April 1925, when he moved to this city. For several months, he built summer cottages in the Eagle River district, after which he joined Krasin Brothers, building contractors, as a carpenter. He has been with them since. 
 

Mr. Prust’s militia service was rendered with the Neillsville Home Guard, the State Guard and the Wisconsin National Guard, one year in each. The changes from one to the other occurred with re-organization. 
 

He was married to Miss Freida Bresemann in Bismarck, North Dakota, March 8, 1916. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Bresemann, Lynn, Clark County. Mr. and Mrs. Prust have three children: Kenneth 12, Eugene 9, and Norbert 6. 
 

Politically, he is a progressive Republican. His hobbies are hunting and fishing.
