Raymond Charles Lindow, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Emil Lindow, town of Lynn, Clark County, Wisconsin, was born
in Lynn, January 28, 1901. After finishing school he continued to
assist on the home farm until 21 years of age when upon the
retirement of his father, he leased the farm, which he has been
running since. The place embraces 80 acres, 50 of which are under
plow, the rest being in pasture and woodland. The buildings and
other equipment are modern, including city conveniences. He is
specializing in dairy and poultry products. His cattle number 26
head of high grade and purebred Holsteins. His chickens include 300
White Leghorns of the large strain.
He was married to Miss Rose Seehafer by
the Reverend E. A. Knoch, now of Oshkosh, in the Nasonville
Lutheran Church, September 13, 1923. Mr. and Mrs. Lindow have two
children: Wallace Raymond 4, and June Rose, born August 9, 1929.
Mrs. Lindow is a daughter of August Seehafer Sr., Nasonville.
Mr. Lindow was recently appointed by County Agent H. M. Knipfel as the keyman in dairy promotion work in his district. In church circles, he is a member of the parsonage building committee of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Nasonville, and the treasurer of the choir. Politically, he is a progressive Republican. His hobbies are motoring and vocal music.
