Roswell H. Harrington was born at
Waupaca, Wisconsin, April 3, 1894. At the age of nine, his parents
moved to Abbotsford, where he received his education, being
graduated from the Abbotsford High School. He attended a business
college for two years. After completing his business course, he
accepted a position in the Soo Line Freight Depot where he remained
four years, finally becoming cashier and chief clerk. He then took
a position as a bookkeeper for the Marshfield Water, Electric Light
and Power Company, holding this position for three years, when he
became affiliated with the Northern Auto Supply Company.
He was married in 1915 to Miss Virocqua
Coram. Mr. and Mrs. Harrington have two daughters: Joyce and
Ruth.
Mr. Harrington is a member of the United Commercial Travelers, Eagles and Owls. He is a past secretary of the Order of Owls, having held the position ten years. He now holds the office of senior councilor in the United Commercial Travelers and is secretary of the Marshfield Fire and Police Commission. Politically he is Independent. Athletic sports and music are his hobbies.
