Meinholdt, Emma (3 APR 1874 - 26 MAR 1953)
Funeral services were conducted for Miss Emma Meinholdt, 78, Monday afternoon at two o’clock from the West Side Reform Church with Rev. Chas. Koch officiating. Burial was made in the parish cemetery. During the service the church choir sang "Near Still Nearer," "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" and "Las Mich Gehen."
Six nephews of the deceased, Fred Horner, Walter Miller, Edward Meinholdt, Harry Liebzeit, Oscar Meinholdt and Albert Meinholdt, served as pallbearers. The floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. August Meinholdt, Mrs. Edward Meinholdt and Mrs. Theodore Miller.
The deceased was born on April 3, 1874 at Franklin, Sheboygan County, Wis., and passed away on the 26th of March at Owen after suffering from a long illness and complications of old age. For many years she made her home in Duluth where she was employed. After the death of her employer she moved to Seattle, Wash., where she resided for several years before returning to this community. Her early education was received in the public school system of Greenwood.
