Koski, Edla (22 APR 1878 - 26 APR 1953)

 

Mrs. Edla Koski was born in Finland on April 22, 1878.  She came to the United States in 1898 and was united in marriage to Alex Koski at Dekalb, Ill.  They later returned to Finland for a few years, but in 1910 they again came to the United States, and in 1912 they moved to Owen (Clark Co.), Wis.  Here they settled on a farm south of Owen, in the Township of Green Grove, where they made their home for many years, and where he husband preceded her in death in 1927.

 

She passed away on April 26th, 1953 at the age of 75 years.  Funeral services were held from the Finnish Lutheran Church at Owen on April 29th, with Rev. Aukee officiating.  Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Ensio Bjorn, Ed Bjorn, Hilmer Gustafson, Ebner Gustafson, Frank Juntunen and Thos. Jablonic.  Three granddaughters had charge of flowers.

 

She leaves to mourn, two sons, Alex of Detroit, Mich., and Arvo of Loyal, Wis., and a daughter, Julia (Mrs. T. J. Mackey) of Minneapolis, Minn.  Also nine grandchildren.
