Stabnow, August #3 (28 AUG 1868 - 15 MAY 1953)

August F. Stabnow, 84, a pioneer resident of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), died last Friday morning at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, where he had been a patient the past two weeks.

Mr. Stabnow was born Aug. 28, 1868 in North Freedom.  His marriage to Rachel Ward took place July 11, 1898, in Cooperstown, N.D.  Following their marriage they lived in Cooperstown until in November of that year and then moved to a farm 6 miles northeast of Greenwood.

Survivors include his wife, a son, LeRoy, Milan; two daughters, Mrs. Vern (Luella) Severson, Greenwood, and Mrs. Vaner (Anna) Lindgren, Owen, and 19 grandchildren.

Two daughters preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held from the Rural Missions Church at Greenwood Tuesday afternoon.
