Wilson, Dorothy A. #2 (23 MAY 1953)

The lawn at the home of the bride’s mother provided the setting at 1:30 p.m. Saturday for the marriage of Miss Dorothy Ann Wilson, daughter of Mrs. Lily M. Wilson, and Alby Dean Hawks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Hawks, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.).  The Rev. F. H. Sprengler was the officiant.

The bride was attired in a white suit complemented with a corsage of red roses.

Miss Norma Jean Wilson, sister of the bride, wore a yellow suit when she filled the role of maid of honor, and Miss Shirley Arlene hawks, Curtiss, a sister of the groom, selected an aqua suit when she served as bridesmaid.  Each had a corsage of pink and white carnations.

Donald Koerner, Dorchester, was best man, and Daniel H. Lewis, Spencer, a cousin of the groom, was groomsman.

A reception was held at the home immediately after the services.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Abbotsford High School.  The groom is also a graduate of the Taylor County Normal School at Medford.

The bride is employed at the Curtiss State Bank while her husband will be principal of the Curtiss Graded School.  They will make their home in Abbotsford when they return from their wedding trip.

Guests at the wedding were from Chicago, Waukegan and Highland Park, Ill., Calumet City and Allouex, Mich., and Fond du Lac, Spencer, Abbotsford, Owen, Thorp, Curtiss, Withee, Bruce and Dorchester.
