Schulze, Caroline #2 (7 JUN 1873 - 30 MAY 1953)
Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Caroline Schulze, 81 years of age, at two o’clock June 2nd from Griebenow’s Funeral Home at Owen. Mr. W. T. Baker, Unity, officiated at the final rites and burial was made at the Pine Hill Cemetery at Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.). Serving as pallbearers were Ed Hoffman, I. F. Ehinenreich, Wm. Hoeper, Wm. Mattson, Wm. Veurink and Howard Anderson.
Caroline Schulze, nee Caroline Bitter, was born in 1872 at Sheboygan Falls, Wis. She passed away on May 30th, 1953 at Sacred Heart Hospital at Eau Claire where she had been a patient for some time, suffering from a heart condition.
As a girl she moved from Sheboygan Falls to Waukesha where she made her home for 16 years and then moved to Curtiss. Here she resided on a farm until 1947 when she made her home with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Funk at Withee.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Sylvester Rees, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. A. L. Doland, Lakeville, Minn., and Mrs. George Funk, Withee; two sons, Elroy Togo, Minn., and Edwin, Owen; 22 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
