Curtiss, Wisconsin

 

Miss Resa Nachlett returned from Chetek Wednesday, where she has been visiting with Ole Christianson and family.

 

Albert Eschwig is visiting relatives in Chicago.

 

Fred Dahlberg left for Ashland Monday.

 

Tony Oleson is home after a two years absence.

 

Mrs. Pete Peterson is very sick at this writing.

 

Jno. Hanson, whose leg was broken at the coal kilns, is improving under the care of Dr. Johnson, of Abbottsford.

 

Walter Benedict of Waupaca, was here Monday looking after the Wis. Central Company's land near here.

 

Fred Richter is erecting a handsome residence in the east end of town.

 

The saw mill closed last Saturday after a good season's work.

 

Olaf Olsen made a business trip to Medford this week.

 

Miss Freda Ostenson returned from Stanley Wednesday, where she has been visiting relatives for six weeks.

 

A. Tarbede, E. Olsen and Caspar Terreson went to the Dakota harvest fields this week.

 

The Misses Edith Dahlberg and Gunda Thompson are attending the institute at Neillsville.

 

Mr. Hendry, representing the H. Lange & Co. of Eau Claire, called on our business men Wednesday.

 

The funeral of Jas. Kraut was held at the family residence, south of town, Saturday. The interment took place at the Green Grove cemetery.

 

Bridge builders are here from Milwaukee to put in a new bridge four miles north of town.

 

Pearl Moore was in Abbotsford Tuesday.

 

Fred Richter gave a dance in his new dwelling Saturday night.

 

Ole Thompson has returned from Chicago.

 

Christ Moe made a business trip to Colby Saturday.

 

J. S. Jacobson was in Menasha on business last week.

 

A. O Dahlberg spent Sunday with his family, returning to Westborn Monday.

 

Mrs. Mary Kaiser and family have gone to Milwaukee to reside.

 

Adolph Peterson of Westboro spent Sunday visiting friends at Curtiss.

 

Quite a number of our young people attended the dance at Owen's Mill Saturday night.

 

Andrew Olsen, who cut his leg with an ax while working at Owens last week, is unable to get around yet.

 

Miss Mamie LaVigne of Colby, is visiting with friends for a few days.
