Ciokiewicz, Dorothy E. (8 AUG 1953)
Now on a honeymoon in New Orleans before taking up residence in Baton Rouge, La., are Mr. and Mrs. M. Ceranowski, who were married Saturday in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen. The Rev. Fr. Crubel was the officiant.
The bride, the former Miss Dorothy Elaine Ciokiewicz, is the daughter of Anton Ciokiewicz, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), while the groom is the son of John Ceranowski, Milwaukee.
White carnations, pink rosebuds, formed the bouquet carried by the bride, who was attired in a white ballerina length formal which featured a snug fitting lace bodice. Competing her ensemble were a small sky blue hat and blue shoes.
A pink formal was selected by Miss Rosella Dulek, Thorp, when she served as maid of honor. Her bouquet was composed of pink carnations and white roses. Attending as bridesmaids were Misses Marie Ciokiewicz, Owen, sister of the bride, in yellow, and Mary Knall, Stratford, in green. The former’s bouquet contained yellow roses and carnations, while the latter’s was composed of white roses and green carnations.
Alfred Ciokiewicz, Owen, was best man for his new brother-in-law. Other attendants for the groom were Edward Knoll, Stratford, and Joseph Kelly, Winona, Minn. Ushers included Jerome Pogodzinski and John Southworth, both of Owen.
Following the ceremony the newlyweds greeted guests at a reception in the church all, which was also the scene of the luncheon.
Mrs. Ceranowski, who attended St. Theresa’s College, Marquette University, and the University of Chicago, is employed in the office of Ayerson Steel. Her husband, a graduate of the University of Chicago, also attended Marquette University, where he did post graduate work. He also did research work at Columbia University. He has a position with Standard Oil Co.
