Skidmore, Elizabeth (1875 - 26 AUG 1953)

Miss Elizabeth Skidmore, 78, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), died Wednesday morning at 5:15 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Congregational Church and burial will be made in Pine Hill Cemetery.  The body will repose at the Griebenow Funeral Home until Friday noon, when it will be taken to the church.

Miss Skidmore was admitted to St. Joseph’s Hospital Tuesday.  She had been in ill health for the past year and was admitted to the Bethel Convalescent Home on June 1.

She was born in 1875 at Bay View, and came to Curtiss when a small child.  She received her education in the Taylor County Schools and graduated from Wis. State College, Stevens Point.  For many years she taught in Taylor County schools.

Surviving are two sisters, Miss May Skidmore and Mrs. Minnie Green, Curtiss.  Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
