Trampush, Evelyn Ingrid (19 March 1920 - 25
August 2009)
Evelyn I. Trampush, 89, of Greenwood died at
Memorial Medical Center Health & Rehab in Neillsville Tuesday,
Aug. 25, 2009.
Evelyn Ingrid Krokson was born March 19, 1920, in
Greenwood, the daughter of Martin and Mila (Hendrickson)
Krokson. She was raised on the family farm and received her
education at the Christopherson School. As a young woman, Evelyn
moved to Chicago, where she worked as a nanny and housekeeper. She
returned to Greenwood and was united in marriage March 21, 1943, to
Frank B. Trampush in La Crosse. They farmed in the Greenwood
area until retiring in 1993. Evelyn continued to reside in
Greenwood until entering Memorial Medical Center Health & Rehab
in January of 2006.
She
was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed
gardening, cooking and watching soap operas.
Evelyn will be dearly missed by her daughter, Joy
Trampush of Greenwood; one grandson, Gary (Jessica) Eddy of
Chicago; two great-grandsons, Luke and Tristan; one son-in-law,
Gordon Eddy of Silver Lake; and nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.
She
was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank, Nov. 18,
2000; her daughter, Donna Eddy; three brothers, Roy, Alvin and
Arthur Krokson; and two sisters, Edith Drew and Lila
Hotchkiss.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday,
Aug. 28, 2009, at Cuddie Funeral Home in Greenwood with Reverend
Daniel Zimmerman officiating. Burial will take place in the
Greenwood City Cemetery at a later date. Visitation was held
at Cuddie Funeral Home Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of
service.
