Warns, Fred, Mr./Mrs. (65^th - 11 OCT 1953)

Sixty-five years of wedded happiness were recalled at a large family reunion held on Sunday, Oct. 11^th, 1953 when the children of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Warns, Sr., honored their parents in observing their 65^th wedding anniversary.

The couple have seven children 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, practically all of whom were able to be with them on this celebrated occasion.

On Oct. 11, 1888 the couple exchanged the sacred vows of matrimony in a ceremony performed in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee.  They later moved to this community (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), settling on their present farm in the Town of Maplehurst (Taylor Co.), where they have resided since 1905.

Mrs. Warns health hasn’t been too good the past couple of years, but Mr. Warns says he is feeling "hunkeydorey."
