Wachsmuth, Ella (2 DEC 1884 - 9 MAR 1954)

The community was shocked Tuesday forenoon when it was learned that Mrs. Ed Wachsmuth, 69, had passed away earlier that morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she had been admitted as a patient only a few hours previous.

Mrs. Wachsmuth had been a resident of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) for 34 years and for many years was associated with her husband in the operation of a shoe store until their retirement about a year ago.

Although she had been receiving medical care for the past year she had been able to be up and about every day.  Last Saturday and Sunday she was confined to the hospital at Stanley for treatment, returning to her home Sunday night.  Late Monday evening she became crucially ill and was rushed to the Marshfield Hospital in the city’s ambulance.

Her sudden death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage.

Funeral services will be conducted at two o’clock tomorrow afternoon, Friday, March 12, from Griebenow’s Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Meinhardt officiating.  Burial will be made at Riverside Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, two sisters and two brothers.
