Larsen, Chris #2 (7 AUG 1903 - 2 MAR 1954)

Funeral services for Chris Larsen, 50, who died after a heart attack March 2, 1954 at St. Mary’s Hospital, West Palm Beach, Fla., were held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp.  The Rev. Arnold M. Muckerheide officiated and burial took place in the Oakland Cemetery at Berlin, Wis.

Mr. Larsen was born Aug. 7, 1903 in Chicago, where he was married to Ardis Verrit on Feb. 11, 1939.  He graduated from Withee High School and attended the University of Wisconsin for two years.

He was employed by the Milwaukee Baking Co. for several years and operated the Thorp Auto Sales for 24 years.  Later he operated a resort at Chetek until June 1953, when he retired due to ill health.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Donna Mae Larsen, Milwaukee; two brothers, Tom and Alfred Larsen, Milwaukee; and two sisters, Mrs. Marie Ammentorp, Withee, and Mrs. Marilyn Sorenson, Fenton, Mich.
