Spiegel, David Bruce (20 December 1952 - 2
September 2009)
David Bruce Spiegel, 56, passed away unexpectedly
of natural causes Wednesday evening, Sept. 2, 2009, at his home in
Milwaukee.
David was born Dec. 20, 1952, in Neillsville to
Bruce and Teresa Spiegel of Granton. He graduated from
Neillsville High School in 1971, where he was elected class
president. He worked and put himself through the University
of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, earning degrees in civil engineering and
architecture.
David owned D. B. Spiegel Co., which provided and
installed internal building components in large multi-unit building
projects in the greater Milwaukee area. David was an accomplished
craftsman respected for his professionalism and attention to
detail. He was highly respected in the business circles for
his integrity and high ethics.
This devoted man live his life totally for his
family, generously dropping whatever he was doing to give
assistance and nurture the deep bond he had with all of them.
He was so proud and committed to each and every one of
them.
He
leaves behind his loving wife, Mary, of 31 years, and children,
Bridgette (Joseph) DeVore, Kailua, HI, Kate Lynn, Scottsdale, AZ,
Emily, Chicago, IL, Samuel David, Milwaukee, Denise, Milwaukee, and
Anthony, at home.
He
is also survived by his dear parents, Bruce and Teresa Spiegel, and
by his siblings and their families, Bernard (Judy) Spiegel, Oregon,
WI, Bruce Spiegel, Salt Lake City, UT, John (Pauline) Spiegel, Jim
Falls, Diane (Peter) Minneci, Crossville, TN, Joseph (Elaine)
Spiegel, Chippewa Falls, Marilyn (John) Oertel, Auburndale, Lynette
(Tom) Van Dehey, Loretto, MN, Lorie (Brad) Knaack, Colfax, along
with his many nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his sister, Mary
Ann, in 1974.
The celebration of David’s Life took place Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Milwaukee, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial took place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Milwaukee.
