Klein, Sarah (21 APR 1889 - 3 MAR 1954)
Mrs. Sarah Klein, a former resident of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away near West Liberty, Iowa, March 3, 1954.
Sarah James, the daughter of Wm. And Emma James, was born near West Liberty, Iowa, April 21, 1889. After graduating from high school she attended the Iowa State Normal at Cedar Falls, Iowa. She later taught school, becoming endeared by all her pupils. On May 5, 1917 she married Laurence T. Klein and the new home was established on a farm five miles northeast of Owen, Wis. She and her husband lived here until in March 1951 when they returned to West Libery. She suffered a heart attack Feb. 1, 1953, from which she never fully recovered. She passed away on March 3, 1954 at the home of her sister, Bertha James, on the same farm where she was born.
The funeral services were held March 6 at Snider’s Funeral Home with burial in Oakridge Cemetery at West Liberty. Many of her friends from Wisconsin attended this service. The floral offerings were many and beautiful.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William James.
Mrs. Klein leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, Mr. L. T. Klein, and two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Case and Miss Bertha James of West Liberty.
Mrs. Klein was a loyal and true friend to all who knew her. She was a good neighbor and was ever thoughtful of children. She brought sunshine into the life of everyone with her pleasant smile which she retained even through hours of suffering. All who knew her loved her and greatly miss her.
