Hoha, Lawrence C. (1895? - 19 MAR 1954)
Lawrence C. Hoha, 58, Texas City, died suddenly at his home Friday afternoon, March 19th, 1954.
Mr. Hoha, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Hoha, one time residents of the Town of Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.), enlisted in the Red Arrow Division, the 32nd, in the First World War, and later was a member of the American Legion Post of Milwaukee, and most recently of Post 89 of Texas City. He was also affiliated with the Masonic Order and Eagles. At the time of his death he was employed by the U. S. Government in the Carbide and Carbon Chemical Corp. at Texas City, being a storekeeper gauger in the Alcohol Tax Division.
Funeral services were conducted at the Cline-Learman, Hanson Funeral Home, New London, Wis., cousin, the Rev. E. E. Beatty officiating. The American Legion formed the color guard. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery at Neenah.
Survivors include his wife, one step-daughter, Joan Schultz, at home, two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Gautsche and Mrs. Harry Schilleman, New London, Wis., four nieces and three nephews.
