Quelle, Anna (18 DEC 1876 - 25 JUN 1954)

 

Mrs. Anna Quelle, 77, died at the hospital at Stanley on June 25th, 1954.  She suffered a broken hip at her home two days previous and failed to rally from the shock.

 

Anna M. Schoell was born in Burlington, Iowa on Dec. 18, 1876.  She was united in marriage there on April 13, 1898 to Andrew Quelle who preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 1928.

 

The family came to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1921 and located on a farm in the Town of Reseburg, moving to the village of Thorp in 1930 after the death of Mr. Quelle.

 

Surviving Mrs. Quelle are three sons, Harry of Thorp, Roy of Greenwood and Harley of Withee; two daughters, Emily of Thorp, Grace, Mrs. Martin Dukovan, Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Beckman, Mrs. Geo. DeLashmutt and Mrs. Clara Casper of Burlington, Ia.; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

 

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Cecil Ward at the Thorp Funeral Home on Monday, June 28th at 2:00 p.m.  Burial was made in the East Thorp Cemetery.  Pallbearers were five grandsons, Ronald, Alvin and Roy Quelle Jr., David Dukovan, John Izewski and Virgil Schmitt.
