Foemmel, Dale G. (7 October 1941 - 3 February 1989) With Flag 
 

Neillsville - Dale G. Foemmel, 47, Neillsville died at 5:05 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. 
 

Services were today at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Neillsville.  The Rev. Richard F. Weber officiated.  The vocalist  was Janice Mayer, accompanied by Sharon Nemitz.  Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery. 
 

Pallbearers were: John Hanson, Richard Karl, Richard Huther, George Erickson, Richard Johnson and Kenneth Jennings. 
 

He was born Oct. 7, 1941, in Pine Valley to Gerhardt and Irene Foemmel.  He received his education at St. John’s Lutheran School, graduating from Neillsville High School in 1959.  He married Carol L. Evans on Dec. 26, 1963 in Neillsville. 
 

He entered the Air Force and served in Germany and France until his discharge in 1963.  He then worked in the area as a semitrailer truck driver.  At the time of his death, he was employed by Lewer Sand and Gravel in Marshfield. 
 

He is survived by his mother, Irene of Neillsville; his wife, Carol; one son, Loren of Shakopee, Minn.; one step-son, Rick Thomas of Malta, Ill.; his maternal grandmother, Eurma Davis of Jefferson; one sister Sharon Foemmel of Park City, Ill.; one brother, Everett of Neillsville; three grandchildren; and his mother-in-law, Helen Evans of Neillsville.   
 

He was predeceased by his father.
