Mrs. Pete Nelson is quite sick.
Rev. McKean's brother and a friend from Chicago surprised him Monday.
There will be a special school meeting Sept. 3 to see about building a new school house in district No. 1.
School begun in district No. 2 Monday with Mr. Lee of Granton as teacher.
Roy Savage is home being laid up with rheumatism.
Della Green of Carlisle, was visiting friends in Shortville Sunday and attended church and Christian Endeavor in the evening.
Frank Short went to Della dam Tuesday with Rev. McKean and friends.
There was a dance in the bowery Saturday evening.
Joe Green was a Shortville caller Monday.
Nora Bolton is home for a visit.
