Dehne, Gertrude M. (Marriage - 25 Feb.
1954)
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Masiewicz will be at
home in Abbotsford to friends after March 21. Their marriage took
place Thursday, Feb. 25, in the parsonage of the First Evangelical
and Reformed church at Colby. The Rev. Victor Grosshuesch read the
service at 3:30 p.m.
For the wedding, the bride, the former
Gertrude Dehne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dehne, of Colby,
chose a lilac tweed suit with which she wore mauve pink accessories
and a necklace and earring set given her by the groom. Her corsage
was made of a white orchid and stephanotis.
Attending the couple were Mrs. Leroy
Thede, of Colby, a friend, and Arnold Dehne, brother of the bride.
A corsage of pink garnet roses and
stephanotis accented the toast brown suit and cocoa accessories
which Mrs. Thede wore. Her necklace and earrings were a gift of the
bride.
Following the ceremony, a 5:00
o’clock dinner was served for close relatives at the Colby
Hotel where many friends greeted them in the evening.
The bride is employed at Abbotsford as
bookkeeper at the White House Milk Company. The groom, who is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Kasmir Masiewicz, of Medford, operated the
Mid-State Television Sales and Service at Colby, which he is moving
to Abbotsford.
