Meske, Lila Mae (Marriage - 4 Sept. 1954)
The lawn at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Milton Meske, Curtiss, Route 1, was the setting for a late summer
wedding ceremony during which their daughter, Lila Mae, became the
bride of Floyd Klemetson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Klemetson,
Curtiss. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler, of Christ Lutheran church, read
the double ring ceremony at 1:30 o’clock, Saturday, Sept. 4.
Lohengrin’s Wedding March was
played by Mrs. Emil Daellenbach on her piano accordion.
The bride, who was given in marriage by
her father, wore a gown of lace and nylon, made by her grand
mother, Mrs. Fred Meske. It was styled with a fitted bodice and
Queen Anne collar, long sleeves, tapering in points over the wrist.
The skirt had tiers of net ruffling and a chapel train of lace over
taffeta. Her finger tip veil of tulle was held by a pearl headdress
with rhinestone sets. She carried a shower bouquet of white
gladioli, orchid mums, and stephanotis.
Attending the couple as matron of honor and best man were Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Strom, of Minneapolis. Other attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Hartl, Minneapolis; Miss Annette Uhlig, of Curtiss; and Gerald Billman, of Chili.
