Ravy, Nellie (4 July 1872 - 30 Sept.
1954)
Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Ravy,
82, were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Colby
Methodist church, with the Rev. Harvey Schall officiating. Burial
took place in the Pine Hill cemetery, Curtiss.
Mrs. Ravy was born Nellie Hamblin, July
4, 1872, in Rosendale, Fond du Lac county. In 1903 she was married
to Walter Ravy. For several years the couple lived in Berlin and
Ripon and then moved to a farm north of Curtiss where they lived
for 33 years. Mr. Ravy died Oct. 24, 1941.
For the past 12 years, Mrs. Ravy made her
home with her son, John, here and at Colby. She had been in poor
health for some time and died at Colby at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.
Besides her husband, a sister also
preceded her in death.
Surviving her are her son, John, Colby; a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Marion) Roder, Chippewa Falls; another son, Henry, Chippewa Falls. There are four grand children, Roger, Ethel, Betty and Richard Roder.
