Wiese, Magdalin (4 June
1884 - 27 Mar. 1955)
Mrs. Frank Wiese, 70,
died at the Lakeview hospital, in Milwaukee, Sunday afternoon at
2:45 o’clock. The remains were brought to the Zink Funeral
Home where a general rosary service was held Wednesday evening. A
requiem high mass was sung by the Rev. Raymond Schulz at St.
Bernard’s Catholic church this morning at 9:30 o’clock,
after which internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.
Mrs. Wiese was born
Magdalin Elfert, June 4, 1884, in South Dakota, where she received
her education. She was united in marriage to Frank Wiese, Sept. 1,
1908, at St. Louis Catholic church at Dorchester. The couple lived
in this area the past 47 years. Mrs. Wiese has been in poor health
for some time and spent the past several months at Butler with her
daughter, Mrs. Ervin Wunsch.
Mrs. Wiese was an
honorary member of St. Bernard’s Altar Society.
She is survived by her
husband; five daughters, Mrs. Val (Amelia) Lukas and Mrs. Frank
(Helen) Kust, both of Milwaukee; Mrs. Ervin (Esther) Wunsch,
Butler; Mrs. Nick (Ethel) Schommer, Abbotsford; and Mrs. Norman
(Margaret) Fredrickson, Gilman; three sons, Clarence J. Wiese,
Pewaukee; Kenneth Wiese, West Allis; and Francis Wiese,
Abbotsford; stepmother, Mrs. Joseph Elfert, Abbotsford; a
brother, Frank Elfert, Faribault, Minn.; five sisters, Mrs. Frank
Weber, Dorchester; Mrs. Augusta Kramer, Faribault, Minn.; Mrs.
Romaine (Clara) Moorehouse, and Mrs. Leo (Mary) Miller, Mora,
Minn.; and Rose, California; 15 grand children and two great grand
children.

A requiem high mass was
sung at 9:30, March 31, at St. Bernard’s Catholic church,
Abbotsford, for Mrs. Frank Wiese, who died Sunday. The Rev. Raymond
Schulz officiated. Internment was made in the Abbotsford
cemetery.
Pallbearers were all
nephews of the deceased: Lawrence Weber, Colby; Joseph Weber,
Dorchester; Lawrence Kramer, Mankato, Minn.; Thad Morehouse, Mora,
Minn.; Jerome Elfert, Mapleton, Minn.; and Roman Miller, Mora,
Minn.
