Jacobson, Berthina (28
May 1879 - 6 May 1955)
Mrs. E. N. Jacobson, 75,
died at her home, Friday, May 6, at 2:30 a.m., after a lingering
illness. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00
o’clock at the Zink Funeral Home. During the services, Mr.
John Mansavage, Stevens Point, was the speaker and Stanley Bush,
accompanied at the piano by Miss Darlene Fisse, sang "Blessed
Zion," and "Jehovah God, My Shepherd." Burial was made in the
Stetsonville cemetery.
Pallbearers were Henry
Fissi, Arnold Ruprecht, John Klabunde, Elmer Junker, Frank Janke,
and Morris Klemetson.
Mrs. Jacobson, the former
Berthina Holmen, was born May 28, 1879 at Primrose. She was married
there Sept. 26, 1901, to Edward N. Jacobson, who survives.
About 15 years ago they
moved to Abbotsford, having retired from years of farming in this
area, Edgar and Stratford.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson
observed their golden wedding anniversary three years
ago.
Besides the widower,
survivors include two sons, Edward Jacobson, Jr., Randolph; and
Orvis Jacobson, Wausau; a brother, Olai Holmen, Argyle; and five
grand children. Mrs. Jacobson was preceded in death by a brother,
Ole Holmen, Grand Forks, N.D.
Relatives and friends attending the funeral included Olai Holmen and daughter, Cordelia, Argyle; Ole Jacobson and son, Russell, Hillsboro; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jacobson, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. George Onsager, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Onsager, and Mrs. Martha Hagen, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Jacobson and son, Darryll, and daughter, Sheila, Randolph; Mr. and Mrs. O. N. Jacobson and sons, Robert, James, and Jerry, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. John Zastrupil and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zastrupil, Tomah; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schnelle, Stratford; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Evenson, Johnson Creek; and Mr. Pederson, of Michigan.
