Steinwand, Ann (Marriage - 7 May 1955)

Miss Ann Steinwand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Steinwand, Colby, and Kenneth Pasholk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pasholk, Wausau, were married Saturday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Colby. The nuptial high mass was sung at 10:00 o’clock by the Rev. Vincent Schwartz.

The white tulle over satin gown worn by the bride, who was presented in marriage by her father, was waltz length. The molded bodice was appliquéd with rosepoint lace, extending over the shoulders with the portrait neckline framed with a lace collar, trimmed with beading to match that on the bodice. The long, tapering sleeves had insets of lace. The full-skirted gown close din back with tulle covered buttons. Silver beads and seed pearls encrusted the queen’s crown that secured her finger tip veil of silk illusion. White ribbons held her bouquet containing two white orchids surrounded by stephanotis.

Attendants for the bride - Miss Sandra Steinwand, a sister of the bride, as maid of honor, and Mrs. Pauline Blaschka, Wausau, a sister of the groom, as bridesmaid - were gowned in identically styled ballerina length gowns of soft, yellow crystalette and net over taffeta. The full skirts of net, shirred at the waistline were trimmed with circular braid motifs outlined with net ruffles. They wore jackets with their formals that featured short sleeves and mandarin collars fastened at the neckline. Their headpieces matched their dresses and their bouquets contained orchid and white carnations and mums tied with orchid streamers.

Daniel Riehle and Eugene Blaschka, both of Wausau, served the groom.

Mr. and Mrs. Pasholk left on a honeymoon to Chicago. They will make their home at Wausau where the bride is employed at Employers Mutuals and the groom at Wilke’s Sheet Metal.
