Jacobi, Audrey Grace
(Marriage - 22 June 1955)
Miss Audrey Grace Jacobi, daughter of Mrs. Clara Jacobi, Abbotsford, became the bride of Raymond Joseph Pupp, Abbotsford, at a wedding ceremony performed June 22, in St. Bernard’s Catholic rectory, Abbotsford. The vows were repeated before the Rev. Raymond B. Schultz at 10:00 o’clock in the morning.
The bride chose a dress
of nylon tulle and lace over satin for her wedding. The tiers of
lace and tulle formed the floor-length skirt. The bodice had a
Queen Anne collar and long sleeves which tapered to points over the
wrists. A crown of sequins and pearls secured the finger-tip veil.
She carried a bouquet of roses.
Maid of honor was Miss
Lucianne Pupp, a sister of the groom. She wore a pink dress of net
and lace over taffeta and carried a colonial bouquet of carnations
and roses. Bridesmaid was Miss Joan Geiger, a cousin of the groom,
from Wausau, who wore a blue formal length dress of net and lace
over taffeta, styled like that of the maid of honor. She also
carried a colonial bouquet of carnations and roses. Both wore net
head pieces to match their frocks and the rhinestone necklaces and
earrings, gifts from the bride.
Donald Kunze, Abbotsford,
was best man. Groomsman was Ronald Pupp, a cousin of the groom, of
Stratford.
The bride’s mother
wore a blue dress with pink accessories for the wedding.
A five o’clock
supper for the bridal party and 150 guests was served at the
armory. In the evening the new Mr. and Mrs. Pupp greeted their
friends at a wedding dance at Whispering Pines ballroom.
Out of town guests came
from Wausau, Marshfield, Stratford, Dorchester, Owen, Chicago,
Milwaukee, Edgar, Colby and Spencer.
The young couple left on a honeymoon trip and are now at home on the groom’s farm east of Abbotsford.
