Gosse, August (20 Jan. 1889 - 7 Sept. 1955)  
 

Funeral services were held Saturday at a Milwaukee funeral home for August Gosse, 66, former Abbotsford resident, who died at his home in Milwaukee, Sept. 7. Burial was made in a Milwaukee cemetery.  
 

Mr. Gosse was born at Brillion on Jan. 20, 1889, and was married in October, 1915, to Miss Emma Elbert who preceded him in death. His second marriage, to Miss Lillie Prestin, took place in August, 1922.  
 

He was educated at Green Grove school and later farmed in the town of Green Grove. He lived in Abbotsford for a period and then moved to Milwaukee 12 years ago.  
 

Besides his wife, now a patient in a Milwaukee hospital, he is survived by a son, Norman, and a daughter, Mrs. Gilbert Grambort, both of Abbotsford; three brothers, Fred Gosse, Abbotsford; Carl Gosse, Milwaukee; Henry Gosse, Colby; two sisters, Mrs. George (Hulda) Kelsey, Abbotsford; and Mrs. Melvin (Tena) Ostenson, Curtiss.  
 

Abbotsford residents who attended the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Grambort, Norman Gosse, Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Gosse, Mr. and Mrs. George Kelsey, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gosse, Raymond Orth, Leo Underwood and Miss Frieda Weideman. Others from the area present at the rites were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gosse and Mr. and Mrs. August Kobs, Colby, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hamel, Withee.
