Boyer, Carrie Elvesta (13

Funeral services for Mrs.
Charles Boyer, 78, who died Saturday night, were held Wednesday
afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Abbotsford armory. Aaron
Erickson and Eddie Schwartz were the officiants. The singers were
Mrs. H. W. Wepfer, Miss Irene Zahorka, and Mrs. Edward Lager. The
pianist was Mrs. Harold Brockhaus.
Pallbearers for the
internment, which was made in the Abbotsford cemetery, were Dwight
Balow, Gust Brechlin, Arvid Carlson, Harold Wepfer, William Wepfer
and John Zahorka.
The following grand
daughters served as flower girls: Mrs. Darrell Sossaman and Mrs.
Norman Brocker, Milwaukee; Mrs. Orville Van Slett, Menomonee Falls;
Mrs. Robert Kohl, Beaumont, Texas; Mrs. Walter Wolf, Wausau; Mrs.
Vincent Toutges, De Graft, Minn.; Mrs. Albert Thomoson, Morris,
Minn.; Mrs. Eugene Leu and Miss Sandra Lindberg,
Abbotsford.
Mrs. Boyer was born
Carrie Elvesta Valentine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ely Valentine,
on June 13, 1877, at Pierre, S. Dak. She was educated in Burt,
Iowa, and was a school teacher prior to her marriage.
On Sept. 2, 1895, she and
Charles H. Stewart were united in marriage and made their home on a
farm. To this union four children were born, all of whom survive
their mother: James Stewart, Cokato, Minn.; Mrs. Alice Olander,
Kalispell, Mont.; Mrs. John (Esther) Lindberg, Abbotsford and Mrs.
Vivian Jolivette, Houston, Texas, and a foster daughter, Mrs.
Wildred Koss, Muscoda, Wis.
Mr. Stewart, preceded his
wife in death Dec. 22, 1926. On Aug. 27, 1927, she and Charles
Boyer were married at Edgar.
A resident of Abbotsford
for 34 years, last year Mr. and Mrs. Boyer went to the Havenet
Nursing home at Owen. Mrs. Boyer suffered a stroke and was taken to
Victory hospital at Stanley where she died Saturday
night.
Besides her husband and
children she is survived by 20 grand children and 34 great grand
children.
Brothers and sisters who survive are Mrs. Bessie Krueger, Atwater, Minn.; Mrs. Anna Krueger, Roseau, Minn.; Mrs. Mae Schauf, Chicago; Mrs. Daisy Winter, Minot, N.D.; Albert Valentine, Burt, Iowa; Jesse, Algoma, Iowa; Herbert, Truman, Minn.; Roy, New London, Minn.; and Clarence, Benson, Minn. One brother, George, preceded her in death.
