Hemlock

Sadis Anderson has gone to Greenwood to attend school.

Our school opened Monday with about thirty in attendance.

Mrs. Dewey is enjoying a visit from her neice, Miss Tyler of Eau Claire.

Mat Rithers and his threshing crew are working around here this week.

John Schwarze and his crew of men have begun to raise the Popple River bridge.

Wm. Alperstedt, having resigned his position with H. Johnson, has gone to Withee's North Fork farm to work.

Tuesday afternoon as Mrs. C. Varney drove home from town, she saw in the road, just north of their place, Mrs. Bruin with her three cubs. Some of the bridge crew had the good luck to kill two of the cubs and wounded the old one and other cub.

The marriage of Ernest Bond and Georgia Anderson, occurs tonight at the home of the bride's mother, Rev. W. E. Kloster performing the ceremony. The bride is well known here, having lived here since childhood. Mr. Bond has been in the employ of the Withee estate as miller for the past four years and has gained the respect of all who have become acquainted with him as an honest and industrious man. Their many friends wish them prosperity and happiness.
