Many relatives and friends from this vicinity attended the funeral of Mrs. Marcia Heppner, 25, who died Thursday, held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Zion Lutheran church at Colby. The Rev. Otto Hoffmann officiated at the church services which were followed by internment in the Colby cemetery.  
 

The former Marcia Schmidt was born in the town of Colby Jan. 19, 1931, and was graduated from the Colby high school. On May 14, 1948, she was married to Robert Heppner, Jr., from whom she was separated about three years ago.  
 

She was an employee of the Colby State Bank the past six years and died at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, where she had been a patient since Tuesday.  
 

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah, age 4; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Schmidt, town of Colby; a brother, Dale Schmidt, stationed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma; Dennis, at home; and her grand mother, Mrs. William Staffeil, Colby.
