Apfelbeck, Margaret (7 July 1901 - 5
Sept. 1956)
Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Apfelbeck,
55, who died Sept. 5, were held Saturday morning at 9:30 at St.
Mary’s Catholic church at Colby. The Rev. John Pinion sang
the requiem high mass. Internment was made in the Colby cemetery.
The former Margaret Ohlinger was born in
the town of Hull July 7, 1901. Since her marriage, which took place
at Colby June 27, 1918, she and her husband had been farming in the
town of Hull.
She is survived by her husband and 14
children, Leon, Lombard, Illinois; Claude, Mrs. Lyton (Rosemary)
Weber and Mrs. Dennis (Agnes) Weber, Melrose Park, Ill.; Hubert,
Abbotsford; Arnold and Mrs. Clyde (Lucille) Weber, Wausau; Mrs.
Jack (Bernice) Trombly, Jacksonville, Fla.; Helen, Wausau;
Patricia, Stetsonville; and Andrew, Raymond, Robert, and Dorothy at
home. Two children preceded her in death.
Also surviving are nine brothers and sisters, Bert Ohlinger, Athens; Lawrence, Arnold, John and Mrs. Leo Apfelbeck, Colby; Mrs. Therese Fortman, Fort Recovery, Ohio; Mrs. Susan Gindt, Boyd; Mrs. Nora Eberle, Madison; and Mrs. Albert Kunze, Abbotsford, and 13 grandchildren.
