WESTFIELD -- Darlene V. Breheim, 83, of
Westfield, formerly of Marshfield, passed away peacefully with her
family and friends by her side Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at
Montello Care Center.
She was born March 6, 1926, in the town
of Sherman, Clark County, the daughter of Gustav and Lauretta
(Dietsche) Pischer. Darlene married Allen Breheim on Sept. 23,
1946, in Marshfield. She worked at Weyerhaeuser of Marshfield for
more than 30 years.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran
Church of Montello and of the Ladies Aid and choir, Tello-Tones
singing group and she had been active throughout her life with 4-H.
Darlene enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, flowers and especially
the life she lived with Allen.
Survivors include her husband of almost
63 years, Allen; one sister, Eloise (Herbert) Schwantes, Spencer;
brother in law, Karl (Carolyn) Breheim, Ala.; sister in law, Nadine
Weichelt, Milltown; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many
friends.
Darlene was preceded in death by two
sisters, Lucille Endries and Beverly Pischer; and a brother, Donald
Pischer.
A funeral service for Darlene will be
held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at St. John's Lutheran
Church, Montello with the Rev. Peter D. Zietlow
officiating.
Interment will be in Riverside "Lawrence
Lake" Cemetery, town of Westfield. A visitation will be held from 4
p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral
Home, Westfield, and on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the
hour of service.
Memorials would be appreciated to St.
John's Lutheran Church, Montello.
Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Westfield, is serving the family.
