Hebert, Mary Jane R. (4 May 1921 - 21
Sept. 2009)
Mary Jane R. Hebert, 88, of Marshfield,
died peacefully Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at Golden
LivingCenter-Three Oaks, Marshfield, with her family by her
side.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday,
Sept. 25, 2009, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Spencer. Visitation
will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial
will take place in the West Spencer Cemetery.
Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Spencer,
is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mary Jane was born May 4, 1921, in
Curtiss, to William and Emma (Moldenhauer) Glasby. Mary Jane
attended Woodland School in Curtiss and graduated from Colby High
School.
The former Mary Jane Glasby was united in
marriage to Donald L. Hebert on Aug. 16, 1941, in Neillsville.
After their marriage, the couple moved to a farm in Spencer, where
together they raised their seven children and welcomed their
extended family as it grew throughout the years. Their farm was
home to all for 56 years.
Mary Jane moved to Golden
LivingCenter-Three Oaks in 2006, where she developed new
friendships with staff and residents.
She enjoyed cooking, quilting, gardening,
music and dancing. Mary Jane especially enjoyed spending time with
her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary Jane is lovingly survived by her
children, Betty (DuWayne) Matter, Spencer, Sharon (Andrew) Malovrh,
Cedarburg, Kathleen (Bruce) Stewart, Chetek, Jeff (Jodi) Hebert,
Spencer, Mary (Spencer) Graves, Spencer, and Jacqueline (Kevin)
Buse, Rosholt; daughter-in-law, Kay Hebert, Marshfield; and sister,
Virginia Hebert. Mary Jane is further survived by 17 grandchildren,
22 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She
will truly be missed.
Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, William and Emma; husband, Donald; son, Roger Hebert; and great-grandsons, Adam Dodge and Zachariah Stargardt; as well as sisters, Lorraine, Margaret and Violet; and a brother, Paul.
