Marcott, Martha (10 June 1897 - 18 Mar.
1954)
Funeral services for Mrs. Ray Marcott,
56, of Dorchester, who died on Thursday, were held Sunday afternoon
at 2:00 o’clock at the Abbotsford armory. In charge of the
services were Mr. Aaron Erickson and Mr. Lloyd Brotherton, of
Minocqua. Internment followed in the Dorchester Memorial
cemetery.
The pallbearers were John Schwartz,
Harvey Bartelson, William Pecham, Alfred Birkholz, Gust Brechlin,
and Arvid Carlson.
The flowers were carried by the Misses
Adele and Janice Marcott, Beth and Karen Carlson, Evelyn Nall and
Dorothy Rasmussen.
Mrs. Marcott was born Martha Brunner June
10, 1897, at Stetsonville. After her marriage to Ray Marcott, the
young couple lived on a farm northwest of Dorchester and have
resided there since that time. Mrs. Marcott suffered a stroke
Monday afternoon and was taken to the Medford Clinic where she died
Thursday morning.
Surviving are her husband and nine
children: La Vern, Abbotsford; Leon, Curtiss; Mrs. Ernest (Alva)
Lindahl, Marysville, Wash.; Mrs. Carl (Agnes) Anderson, Dorchester;
Mrs. Bernard (Doris) Holcomb, Wayland, Mich.; Mrs. William (Ruth)
Harrington, Alegon, Mich.; Mrs. Charles (Frances) Sellers,
Shelbyville, Mich.; and Donald and Ralph, at home.
Also surviving are 17 grand children, two
brothers, Walter Brunner, Dorchester, and John Brunner,
Stetsonville; two sisters, Mrs. John Reimer, Dorchester; Mrs.
Melvin Lourris, Avoca; and one step sister, Mrs. Ben Brunner,
Stetsonville.
All of the children and many other relatives and friends attended the funeral.
