Smith, Angeline (19 Dec. 1903 - 13 Jan. 1955) 
 

Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Smith, 51, who died Jan. 13, were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Evangelical Lutheran church at Curtiss. The Rev. M. S. Egge officiated and burial took place in Pine Hill cemetery. 
 

Pallbearers were Franklin Kraut, John Lokken, Bernard Laabs, John Michlig, Orville Laabs, and Milton Meske. 
 

Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Ambrose Schuh, Mrs. Joseph Karaba, Mrs. Orlanda Ackerman, Mrs. Barney Roytek, Mrs. Fred Laabs, Mrs. Harold Laabs, Dora Ackerman, and Carol Burtard, all nieces of the deceased. 
 

Mrs. Alfred Thompson and Mrs. DuWayne Bulgrin sang "Rock of Ages," and "The Lights of Home." Mrs. Clarence Nelson was the accompanist. 
 

Mrs. Smith, formerly Angeline Burtard, was born Dec. 19, 1903, in this area. She was a graduate of Colby high school and taught school in the town of Hoard for several years. 
 

Her marriage to Albert Smith took place at Curtiss June 30, 1926. 
 

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Arlyn (Loretta) Harris and Miss Delores Smith, both of Milwaukee; and Barbara, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Lily) Ackerman, Curtiss; and Mrs. Walter (Eleonora) Nicks, Dorchester; three brothers, John Burtard, Owen; Gilbert Burtard, Curtiss; and Reuben Burtard, Gilman; and two grand children.
