Bailke, Beatrice (Marriage - 23 Apr.
1955)
Miss Beatrice Bailke, daughter of Mrs.
August Bailke, of Greenwood, became the bride of Clifford M.
Winter, son of Mrs. Jennie Winter, of Neillsville, Saturday
afternoon, at the Trinity Lutheran church, Greenwood.
Arnold Zastrow, Stetsonville, gave his
niece in marriage in a ceremony performed at 2:00 o’clock
with the Rev. H. F. Bauer reading the double ring
service.
For the occasion, the bride chose a pink
gabardine suit with white accessories. Her shoulder corsage was
made of yellow roses and white pompons.
Attending her as matron of honor was her
sister, Mrs. Louis Nacker, of Abbotsford, and the groom’s
sister, Mrs. Fritz Marty, of Granton, as bridesmaid.
Mrs. Nacker wore a gray orlon suit with
white accessories and a corsage of red roses and white pompons. A
beige gabardine suit with white accessories and a corsage of white
carnations and white pompons made up the bridesmaids’
ensemble.
Mrs. Bailke wore a light blue dress with
brown accessories to her daughter’s wedding at the
groom’s mother had a dark blue print dress with black
accessories. Their corsages were alike of red roses and white
pompons.
The groom’s attendants were Leroy
Bailke, Greenwood, as best man, and Fritz Marty, of
Granton.
At the close of the church ceremony, Mrs.
Minerva Bauer sang "O Perfect Love."
A reception was held at the church
parlors and supper was served at 5:00 o’clock to 35
guests.
A four tier cake, decorated with yellow
roses and bouquets of yellow jonquils and candles were used in the
table decorations.
In the evening a wedding dance was held
at the Silver Dome ballroom and midnight lunch was served at the
supper club.
Guests at the wedding were from
Milwaukee, Medford, Prentice, Stetsonville, Granton, Neillsville,
and Abbotsford.
Mr. and Mrs. Winter left on a
week’s wedding trip to the southern part of the state and on
their return will be at home to friends on the groom’s farm
near Neillsville.
The bride is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school, class of 1953.
