Carlson, Edith Elizabeth (Marriage - 23 Apr. 1955)

Pvt. And Mrs. Le Roy Jeske left Monday to return to Turlock, California. Their wedding took place Saturday, April 23, at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Carlson, Route 1, Abbotsford. Beautiful potted plants of the bride’s mother and a bouquet of pink and white snapdragons made the setting for the ceremony.

The wedding vows were exchanged between Edith Elizabeth Carlson and LeRoy Jeske at 1:00 o’clock with C. V. Hinke, justice of peace, officiating.

The bride was attired in a white rayon shantung street length dress. The Peter Pan collar was trimmed with daisies of lace with rhinestone decorative buttons down the front. A corsage of garnet roses provided an accent to her ensemble. Attending the couple were the bride’s sister and brother, Miss Ruth Carlson and David Carlson, Abbotsford.

The maid of honor selected a dress similar in material to the bride’s with blue figurations on white background. Red garnet roses and feathered carnations were combined in her shoulder corsage.

The mother of the bride wore an ice blue lace dress and the groom’s mother wore one of cream rayon acetate. Their corsages were made of pink carnations.

About 130 relatives and friends greeted the bridal couple at the reception which was held from 2:00 until 5:00 o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents.
