Burris, Steve (6 Mar. 1921 - 17 July
1955)
Steve Burris, 34, died at Chattanooga,
Tenn., Sunday morning following an accident. The Burrises lived at
Chattanooga the past two years. Funeral services were scheduled for
10 a.m. this morning at Marshfield with burial at Mount Nebo
cemetery at Jump River.
Mr. Burris was born March 6, 1921, at
Jump River. He was a World War II veteran and served overseas for
four years. His widow is the former Patricia Perry. The Burris
family lived at Abbotsford for a time.
He is survived by his wife, two
daughters, Carol and Barbara Burris, Chattanooga, Tenn,; his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer J. Burris, Marshfield; five brothers,
Arvel, Oshkosh; Mark, Wisconsin Dells; Jerry, Withee; and Arthur
and Howard, Rockford, Ill.; and two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Marcus,
Abbotsford; and Mrs. Marvin (Jesse) Moore, West Allis.
A child, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.
