Funeral services for Carl G. Woempner,
76, who died of a heart ailment Monday at his home in the town of
Mayville, will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at
St. Peter’s Lutheran church, Dorchester. Burial will be made
in the Dorchester cemetery.

Funeral services were held in St.
Peter’s Lutheran church, Dorchester at 2:00 o’clock
Friday, for Carl George Woempner, 76, who died of a heart ailment
at his home Sept. 12. Burial was made in the Dorchester Memorial
cemetery. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated.
Abbotsford relatives attending the
funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hardrath, Mrs. Fred Woempner,
John Daellenbach and William Benzman.
Mr. Woempner was born July 6, 1879, at
Hanover, Germany, and was married at Curtiss April 19, 1906, to
Miss Anna Dunow, who died Aug. 25, 1948. Following their marriage
the couple lived continually in the town of Mayville. In addition
to operating a farm there, Mr. Woempner also conducted a sawmill
business in the same township for a number of years.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Roy
(Lenore) Hardrath, Unity; three sons, Arnold, Coeur d’Alene,
Idaho; Henry and Irvin, at home, seven grand children, three great
grand children, and one brother, Fred, Abbotsford.
One sister died in infancy and a sister, Mrs. John (Bertha) Daellenbach, died in October, 1948.
