Zais, Florence Louise (31 August 1926 - 15 September 2009)

 
Florence Louise Zais, 83, of Eau Claire passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Country Terrace in Altoona.

Florence was born August 31, 1926, to Leonard and Ethel (Brown) Boon in Neillsville. Florence was a very special mom, and her children and grandchildren were the most important part of her life. She supported her family and friends in attending many of the events in their lives.  She was a great cook and baker.  Florence enjoyed traveling.  Her first plane ride was just a few years ago when she visited her brother, Alfred, in Brownsville, TX.

Florence is survived by two daughters, Deborah (Roger) Powell and Sandy Zais, and one son, Fred Zais, all of Eau Claire; four grandchildren, Kimari and Brad Powell, Randy and Sarah Zais; two brothers, Alfred (special friend, Velda) Boon of Christie and Clayton "Duke" Boon of Neillsville; brother-in-law, Ray Oldham of Neillsville; many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

 
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frederic J. Zais, in May 1987; sister, Dorothy Oldham; and brother, Floyd Boon.

 
A memorial service was held Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009.
