Peterson, Otto E. (10 FEB 1885 - 1 NOV 1954)
Otto Emil Peterson was born on Feb. 10, 1885, in Eau Claire, Wis., to the late Mr. and Mrs. Clark Peterson. With his parents he was among the early settlers of the Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) community, coming here in 1894 at the age of nine years.
Later his parents moved to Curtiss where they owned and operated a farm at Midway. Later he attended schools at Midway, Owen and Northland College at Ashland.
In Later life he became a cheesemaker, owning and operating a cheese factory at Midway. After that he moved onto a farm near Curtiss. Of late years he made his home with his sister and the late Robert Nissen.
Monday afternoon, Nov. 1, while at his work he was stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage, being rushed to Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley where he passed away at 11:39 that night.
Besides his sister, Mrs. Robert (Agnes) Nissen, he leaves to mourn, another sister, Clara Peters, Clark Nissen, a nephew, Kathryn Peterson, a niece, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Charles Peterson, besides a large number of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted from Griebenow’s Funeral Home, Owen, with Rev. Wagner officiating last Thursday afternoon, with burial being made in the family lot at Riverside Cemetery.
