Hanke, Ernest Otto (28 December 1880 - 19 July
1952)
Ernest Otto Hanke is Dead in Lynn - Was a native
of the Town - Was a farmer there - News of Lynn by Mrs. Wm.
Dankemyer
Ernest Otto Hankey, 71, of Lynn, died at his home
Saturday, July 19. Death was attributed to cancer of the
throat.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the
Nasonville Community church, the Rev. Arthur A. Oates of Marshfield
officiating. Burial was made in the Lynn
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Edwin Sternitzky, Erwin
Sternitzky, Arthur Short, John Dix, Robert Ure and Glen
Peterson.
Flower carriers were: Mrs. Edwin Sternitzky, Mrs.
Erwin Sternitzky, Mrs. Arthur Short, Mrs. John Dix, Mrs. Glen
Peterson and Mrs. Clark Brooks.
Mr.
Hankey was born December 28, 1880, in the Town of Lynn, where he
received his education. He was married to the former Belle
Riedel of Nasonville at her home November 10, 1907. They
farmed for a few years in the Town of Fremont and he was an elder
of the Nasonville Community Church.
He
is survived by his wife, a son, Carl, Madison; five daughters, Mrs.
Mervin (Dorothy) Heinrich of Nasonville, Mildred at home, Mrs. Art
(Evelyn) Garbrecht, San Antonio, Tex., Mrs. Hazel Yarwood, Madison,
and Mrs. Norbert (Marian) Michels, route 3, Marshfield; and six
grandchildren.
A
son, five sisters and a brother preceded him in
death.
Out
of town relatives who attended were: Mr. and Mrs. William
Beidenbender, Appleton, Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Beidenbender, New
Jersey, Mrs. Frieda Schwallenburg, Potters, Mrs. Edward Dress,
Brillion, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Dankemyer, Neenah, Mrs. Hazel Yarwood
and children, Donald and Linda, Madison, Jerry Wold and Gay,
Madison, Carl Hankey, Detroit, Mich., Ernest Hankey and Dorothy
Hankey, Milwaukee, Mrs. Arthur Garbrecht, San Antonio, Tex., and
Mrs. Marie Garbrecht, Abbotsford.
