Crothers, Mildred (4 September 1896 - 20 August 1952) 
 

Funeral services were conducted on Friday from the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton, for Mrs. Wendell Crothers, who died at the Marshfield Hospital on Wednesday, August 20. The Rev. Lee Holmes of Loyal officiated.  Interment was made in the Windfall Cemetery. 
 

Mrs. Crothers, nee Mildred Kintzele, was born September 4, 1896, in the Town of York to Mr. and Mrs. John Kintzele. She received her elementary education there. Then she attended schools at Granton and Neillsville, and at Layton Art School in Milwaukee. 
 

She was a member of the Methodist church, the Royal Neighbors of America and at one time served as deputy Register of Deeds. 
 

She was married to Wendell Crothers at the Kintzele farm by the later Rev. Wilson Mallory. 
 

She is survived by her husband, one son, Jack, of he Town of York, one daughter, Mrs. Merle (Jane) Bartsch of the Town of York; two brothers, Harland Kintzele, Neillsville, and Vernon of Owen; three grandchildren.  One daughter and one sister preceded her in death.
