The first
volunteer for the Heart Fund campaign in Wausau, is Mrs. Orville
Koehn, Schofield, Route 1. She is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs.George Bender, of Abbotsford.
Her daughter, Denice, who was one year old Jan. 25, has a heart condition which requires more research and help. Denice has been a patient at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield; Wausau Memorial hospital, and Wisconsin General hospital, Madison, where she has twice undergone painful surgery during the first year of her life.
