Mrs. Alda
Sommers was a medical patient at St. Joseph’s hospital,
Marshfield, from Wednesday night until Friday. Mrs. Sommers, who
was employed the last nine months at Medford, is now residing in
Abbotsford at the home of Mrs. Gust Busse.
Mrs. Lillian
Ellerman has returned from Okauchee where she spent the winter
months with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Braasch, and family. Mr. Braasch brought her here Saturday night
and he returned Sunday.
Buy a poppy
Friday and Saturday. Wear a poppy. Memorial day.
Mr. and Mrs.
Arthur Peterson and four children, Rockford, Minn., and Miss
Barbara Peterson, Minneapolis, spent the week end with their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Peterson, and grand parents, Mr. and Mrs.
A. L. Adams. When they returned, Sunday, Barbara and Carol, four
year old twin daughters of the Arthur Petersons, remained for a
longer stay.
Mr. and Mrs.
R. H. Treat visited Mr. and Mrs. Jim Broeren, at Wausau, on Sunday.
Mr. Broeren is their grandson.
Mr. and Mrs.
Homer Wolcott, Wisconsin Rapids, visited at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. George M. Stump, Sunday.
The Brownie
troop had their picnic Tuesday afternoon. Saturday, they will
attend a Brownie circus at Wausau.
Miss Shirley
Farning is receiving training at the local telephone exchange and
will be relief operator.
Mr. and Mrs.
Leo Bumann and two daughters left Friday and spent the week end at
the Michael Alber home at Butler and the Fred Alber home at
Milwaukee.
Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Hopperdietzel and family spent Sunday at Stevens Point at
the Ray Fletscher home where a family reunion was held. Mrs.
Fletscher is a sister of Mr. Hopperdietzel.
Mrs. Susie
Peterson, Green Bay, attended the meeting of the Eastern Star
Tuesday evening.
Mr. and Mrs.
A. E. Preller visited at the Franklin Bauer, and Dick Preller homes
at Marshfield, Sunday.
Mrs. Mae
Studinger, Medford, spent Tuesday night and Wednesday at the home
of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Nikolay, and
family.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Ellenbecker and family, Dorchester, visited his mother, Mrs. Regina Ellenbecker, Sunday afternoon.
