Luepke, Rosa
H. (10 Aug. 1887 - 22 June 1956)
Funeral
services for Mrs. Rosa H. Luepke, who died at her home Friday, were
held Monday afternoon at 2:00 at Christ Lutheran church. The Rev.
Kempfert, of Edgar, officiated.
Pallbearers
were Archie Melvin, Roland Gasch, Gay Anderson, George Brown,
Albert Kayhart, and Henry Weideman.
The Misses
Darlene Gasch, Delores Melvin, and Hazel Weideman carried the
flowers.
The body lay
in state at Zink Funeral home until Monday, when it was taken to
the church. "Heaven Is My Home" and "In the Hour of Trial" were
sung at the church. Internment was made in the cemetery at North
Spencer church.
Mrs. Luepke
was born Aug. 10, 1887, in Chicago. She was married to Fred A.
Luepke Dec. 19, 1936, in the North Spencer church. They lived on a
farm in the Town of Unity until 1944, when they moved to Spencer.
In 1954, they left Spencer to move to a farm two miles east of
Abbotsford.
Mrs. Luepke
was ill with a heart ailment for a year and a half before her
death.
She is survived by her husband; three step daughters, Mrs. Robert Zwicke, Waukegan, Ill.; Mrs. Ray Weister, Torance, Calif.; and Mrs. Albert Krohn, Marshfield; a step mother, Mrs. Anna Froelich, Rhinelander, and 11 grand children.
